Can I Make Money Online?
Posted by GuestPoster in Business & Internet Marketing on February 5th, 2010
Of course you can’t make money online! What’s wrong with you? Did Amazon.com ever make money online? Did Overstock.com ever make money online? Has anyone ever made money on eBay? Or –
Oh, wait. All of those sites make money. Maybe you can make money online. In fact, maybe it’s relatively common. But surely my cooking blog doesn’t count, right? I mean, who would really pay me money to read about the spatula I accidentally melted in the oven? And it’s not like I’m being paid for every recipe I post. Why would anyone pay for my failed avocado cream pie attempt?
Fortunately, I know how to make money with Google. No, I’m not selling them recipes or spatulas or avocado cream pies. Somehow, I doubt that Google would want them. What I’m selling them is advertising space.
You see, those side bars on my blog hold invaluable empty space – space that can be used to sell someone else’s products or services. And Google allows me the chance to earn money every time one of my foodies clicks on an advertisement for a new, melt-proof spatula.
Here’s how it works: Google has clients who pay them for advertising. Every time that ad gets a click or appears on a web page, Google gets paid for it. The advertisers are happy to pay for the publicity, because it increases their sales revenues. Google is more than happy to oblige, since it doesn’t cost them anything to put the advertisement on the side of their page.
But if Google can put the ad on the side of my page, that means the ad gets more traffic. More traffic means more clicks, and more clicks means Google gets more money from their advertisers. So, Google is more than willing to give me a small cut of the profits in exchange for my cooking blog’s cooperation. So even if my pie was a little greenish, I could still make a little money off of the blog post.

In today’s technologically advanced world, if need arises to print or scan anything while traveling, the answer is a portable printer and scanner. Other than this, long travel time frames can also be utilized by taking these two along. A portable printer and scanner can make an office mobile.
A number of brands of these machines are available in the market at varied prices, offering different functionality, quality and speed of printing and scanning. A number of models of portable printers are there to choose from according to your requirements. Both these machines are capable of printing text and color images on standard paper or photo paper. There is another model from HP called Photosmart that is used for printing pictures only. However, if the printing quality is not that important, then there is the Planon Printstik PS905 portable printer (priced around $300) that can print from any device which uses Bluetooth technology. But with this model, the prints look like as if they were printed from a fax machine.
Apart from printing quality, printing speed and size and weight of the machines also need to be considered. Other things that need consideration before buying are – if the model includes a battery or not, if it comes with power adapters that can be used in cars, if wireless printing technology is there, etc.
To speak about portable scanners, a variety of models are out there with superior portability and OCR capabilities. The IRISPen 6 is one such scanner launched in August 2007. It is very much user friendly, supports many interfacing languages other than English and provides fast and precise scanning. There is another model called TravelScan Pro of Ambir Technology that consists of a scanner and software called PaperPort. It is very light weight and speedy. Again, there is the Fujitsu ScanSnap S300M, the smallest ADF scanner available today. It is made for the Apple Mac system. While scanning, it converts data into PDF files. So, with all these models available on the market, it is not very difficult to decide which one will fit the requirement and make mobile working a reality. Great Stretching Tactics
Posted by GuestPoster in Health & Fitness on February 4th, 2010
Many athletes desperately want to find out how they can improve their vertical jump, but a lot of them do not have any idea how and where to start. Apart from plyometric exercises to jump higher for basketball, you also need to focus on performing certain stretching tactics.
Stretches will indeed enable you to jump a lot higher, but you need to perform the correct stretching techniques because not all types of stretches are that effective and efficient. However, if you can do the right stretching techniques, you are not only going to add inches to your jump height, these said techniques will also make you less prone to acquiring injuries, make you recover much faster and improve your overall game. The two great stretching tactics that you need to include in your vertical jump workouts are static and dynamic stretches.
With static stretches, you need to stretch your muscles and stretch it continuously in order to increase your muscles flexibility. Static stretching will help relax and lengthen your entire muscles as well. Here is a short list of the static stretches that you need to perform; lying glute stretch, standing quadriceps stretch, standing calf stretch, seated groin stretch, seated hamstring stretch and the warrior lunge stretch. Remember that after performing such stretches give your muscles time to relax. Do the stretches at least three times for each leg and hold that stretching position for about thirty-five to forty-five seconds.
On the other hand, dynamic stretches requires that you properly warm up your targeted muscles first with the use of dynamic movements and then gradually increase that range of motion. This stretching tactic will enhance your muscles dynamic flexibility which is used whenever you perform a jump. Here are a couple of dynamic stretches that you can do; you have deep squats and hip circles. Deep squats will develop the elasticity of your ankles and knees while hip circles will properly warm up your lower back, glutes and hips.

Understanding The Use Of Corporate Seals
Posted by GuestPoster in Business & Marketing on February 2nd, 2010
While forming a corporation, the board of directors may adopt a corporate seal for the corporation. However, the appendage is superfluous in business operations. The validity of a corporate seal on an instrument or document is nil. Traditionally corporate seals were used to validate or authenticate legal documents of a company or corporation. The use of seals as a mark of authenticity has been abolished by all states. Some financial institutions or banks may insist on the corporate seal on documents or you may affix the corporate seal on share certificates or debentures to give them an appearance of authenticity.
Corporate seals may lend an appearance of authenticity to the corporation’s documents. You may use the corporate seal as you would use the company logo or trademarks. Some states stipulate the use of corporate seal in certain circumstances. State of Alaska has an interesting statute about the usage of corporate seals. There is a reference to corporate seal in Delaware Division of Corporation’s Certificate of ownership and merger. You may find other references in some state statutes but the reality is that corporate seals are no more a legal necessity in official documents.
Use your corporate seal to give credence to your official documents. Many start-up corporate kit providers include corporate seal as a part of the start up kit. Some of them actually make corporate seals look as if it is a necessity in forming a corporation. But if you read the small print, you will understand that the use of corporate seal is no more a legal necessity. Use of corporate seals can help you as an advertising tool. Beyond that it is only the corporation’s board of director’s interest in promoting a corporate seal that makes any difference. Of course, a corporate seal will lend an appearance of legitimacy to all documents it is affixed to.
From Huge Machines to Small Gadgets
Posted by GuestPoster in Comp & Tech on February 2nd, 2010
Gadgets have been a very important aspect in our lives and very few people are able to go through the day without using some kind of gadget. It can be the alarm clock when you wake up, the GPS you use when you’re in an unknown place or a cellular phone for calling your parents. These are but a few instances where gadgets are being used. Though it is undeniable that man has become dependent on these things, it is also undeniable that these have increased the quality of life.
By definition, a gadget is a small mechanical or electronic device specialized for a certain task. Take for example printers. It was not long ago that printers used to be those bulky machines. Today, some are small enough to be taken along while traveling. You might have heard of them as small travel printers. It is now acceptable to call them gadgets.
There are many portable printers available in the market today. Famous printer companies have tried their best to incorporate portability and durability in this very useful equipment. Hewlett Packard, Epson, Canon and other companies have produced their very own line of printers that would be very easy for the user to carry. One printer that goes to the top of the list is the Canon Pixma IP100.
Portability is the greatest selling point of this printer apart from its printout quality. With the size of 12.7 x 2.4 x 7.2 and the weight of 4.4lbs, one can see how easy it is to slip it in your luggage or backpack and off you go. Since most people have cars, the printers will normally come equipped with car adapters. Although it should be noted that it is not a good idea to leave electronic gadgets inside cars because the temperature inside tends to increase under the heat of the sun.
What makes this printer so great is that it also provides the user the capability to use it even without bringing their computer, which by the way weighs a lot more than this printer. If you have your other gadgets with you, like a camera phone or PDA, you can print files directly from them using the IR interface. If you’re a Bluetooth fanatic, you can opt for the optional Bluetooth feature, which comes at an additional price. This means that as long as anyone has their own infrared or Bluetooth device, they can easily join in the fun of printing their pictures or documents.
The portable printer is merely one of those inventions that companies have decided to make portable. Maybe, a day will come where the cars we see on “The Jetsons” animation will eventually come true, where the car will fold itself into one of those briefcases. Now that would truly be amazing.
