One place you can look for cheap Ipods are large established websites such as Best Buy, Circuit City, Macmall and others like these. These websites always have online sales and sometimes even main in rebates to add to your discounts. Also another bonus of these websites is that they usually offer free shipping.
Ebay can also be a great place to find deals. It takes a little skill, but if you using the technique known as bid snipe, you will usually get the item you want. Bid Snipping is when you wait until the last second to start bidding. This eliminates the annoyance of bid wars. Also to increase your chances of winning the bid, try to bid on the auction in the early hours of the morning or late at night. This is when people are less likely to bid against you.

Spy Pens subject to Audio Recording Laws
Posted by whaleadmin in Technology on July 7th, 2009
Audio recording laws exists in most countries and are surprisingly stricter than you might expect. People buy spy pens online unaware that they, like any other hidden device are subject to these laws. Most people would expect video recording to be much stricter but governments seem to provide individuals with much more protection when it comes to protection of their voice rather than their image.
In many states in the US it is illegal to record someone’s voice without their permission full stop. In others it is legal as long as there is suitable grounds to be doing so. Some states require full permission of the person before creating an audio track of their voice. As you can see the variation in legislation is huge, so before you get yourself into trouble check out the laws in your state.
Two Good Uses for a Notebook Computer
Posted by whaleadmin in Technology, Uncategorized on July 4th, 2009
A notebook computer can be an extremely useful piece of electronic equipment. There are, although, more practical and helpful uses for one.
You can leverage a notebook’s portability for traveling. Many professions require at least some travel, many being more extended stays, but even if you don’t travel for work, you might for pleasure. Either way, having a portable computer can allow you to either do work for your job during time away from home, or simply enjoy the multiple benefits of a computer during time away from home.
Another great use for a notebook is a student, who is freguently on the go. Being a student requires a lot of work, much of which will probably happen outside of their dwelling. Having a notebook, especially as a main computer, can allow for them to do their work anywhere. This flexibility is very important for a student.
These are only two good uses for a notebook computer. There are many reasons to get a notebook, and many good uses for it as well. If you are in the market, I would suggest performing some more notebook computer research before you purchase.
Security Camera Installation Measures That Can Prevent Attacks
Posted by whaleadmin in Technology on July 4th, 2009
An outdoor security camera, whether in a housing or not, that protrude from a ceiling or wall is much more vulnerable than a dome shaped camera or casing. One thing that can sometimes be done to eliminate this situation is by installing the camera housing flush with the wall or ceiling. This means mounting the security camera inside the wall and the only part that is revealed is the transparent covering of the housing.
Where flush mounting of the security camera housing is not an option, attacks at the security camera can be reduced by making the camera more discrete such as blending it into the environment or disguising it as something else. This helps prevent both physical attacks such as destroying the security camera or parts of the camera, and non-physical attacks such as hanging a piece of clothing to block the cameras view.
HD Projector – What HD Actually Means
Posted by whaleadmin in Technology on June 30th, 2009
What does the HD, or High Definition in an HD projector actually mean? Well, 480 pixels PSI is the normal visual quality. The lowest image resolution that can be called HD is 720 pixels PSI.
If the HD projector you are considering purchasing has a lower PSI than 720 pixels PSI then it is not really an HD projector and the image quality may well be disappointing.
In the terminology for HD quality there are also two other letters than you should pay attention to, the scanning type. These can be i – interlaced, or p – progressive. The progressive scanning type is generally considered to be of superior quality, therefore it is customary to think of 720p HD projectors being equivalent to a 1080i HD projector.
Although these terms appear technical, they are in fact just ways of describing certain features of the HD projector and should not be too concerning.

I’m actually really surprised that more people don’t know how to mail merge. This is really not a difficult concept. The whole idea is that you have a list with all of you guests addresses is an Excel sheet. You need set this up so that you have a column for each thing, a column for the name, a column for their street, and a column for their city and the state. Excel is really not that difficult to learn, and it actually pretty intuitive. Once you have this set up you can cycle any one of those columns through a field in Microsoft Word. This is a very powerful function and any time you are dealing with information like this you can use mail merge to significantly decrease your time on projects. This is really a great feature for invitations and addressing envelopes.
