Do You Know The Dangers of Tanning

The excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays has long been associated with health problems related to the skin. There are two types of UV rays and it is important that your sunscreen is what is known as a broad-spectrum sunscreen which is designed to protect against both types of UV radiation. Unless you are looking to get a tan from being out in the sun all day, it is always best to simply opt for the highest SPF rating. This offers the highest level of protection but the problem is that many people do not use tanning lotions properly to achieve maximum effectiveness. The sun tan lotion should be applied generously and reapplied after 15 to 30 minutes of exposure. Some people feel uncomfortable wearing too much lotion which is why a higher SPF really comes in handy.
