Security Camera Installation Measures That Can Prevent Attacks

An outdoor security camera, whether in a housing or not, that protrude from a ceiling or wall is much more vulnerable than a dome shaped camera or casing. One thing that can sometimes be done to eliminate this situation is by installing the camera housing flush with the wall or ceiling. This means mounting the security camera inside the wall and the only part that is revealed is the transparent covering of the housing.

Where flush mounting of the security camera housing is not an option, attacks at the security camera can be reduced by making the camera more discrete such as blending it into the environment or disguising it as something else. This helps prevent both physical attacks such as destroying the security camera or parts of the camera, and non-physical attacks such as hanging a piece of clothing to block the cameras view.
