Southampton

The playground of the rich and famous. You can rent a house for the summer in Southampton for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Like this lovely place: 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, and 3500 square feet to get lost in. Just a cool $600,000 for the summer. You could also save some money and get in on this deal for $525,000. A three acre estate with a pool and tennis court, 8 bedrooms and lots of other extras in a neatly packaged 9000 square feet. Now that would be a really nice Hampton vacation!

Just for fun, you could head on over to Coopers Beach in Southampton and see some of the folks that are surely staying for the summer in one of these mansions. The beach is just one of many in the Hamptons but is situated so their are a lot of large homes and estates in close proximity.

Even though Coopers is a public beach it can be tough to find a parking spot. If you do get the beach early enough, you might be “unlucky” enough to find a parking spot. You see if you don’t have a $150 season parking pass, you will have to pay a $25 or $30 parking fee, depending on the day of the week. At least there are lifeguards. So you will be getting something for all that money you pay for the privilege of getting to stay on the beach there.
