She looked at the glass table and chairs in the show room window. They were just like the ones she had seen in the patio next door where that terrible pit bull lived. Those people didn’t have a fence, and often that dog slept out on the patio unsecured under the glass table. She had wanted to have fun shopping and then having lunch with Beverly at THE BRONZE BUFFALO. Now, the sight of the glass table and chairs brought back the frightening memory of the day she went into the back yard to hang her washing and the dog was out. She was hanging bras and panties when she heard the growl at her back. She jumped and screamed.  The dog grabbed her arm. She fell to the ground and rolled onto her stomach so the animal couldn’t bite her face. She screamed for a long time before the owner came out and called off the dog.
