Keeping You Gold Bullion In A Safe
Posted by whaleadmin in Finance on June 29th, 2009
Storing gold bullion at home is one option for keeping your investment safe… in a safe. Probably for most people, a 30 minute safe is enough. Any 30-minute safe is going to take a decent blast to open. The intruders have to risk a lot using an explosive, and if they don’t know what they are doing they might well blow themselves up instead of the safe. Another risk for them is that they might render the safe inoperable. Safes have strike plates that break if one attempts to drill them and a good blast would probably break the striker plate. This would cause pins to move in place and render the safe door inoperable. This makes opening the safe much more difficult still. Of course if your home is invaded and the intruders find your safe, you will end up opening it at gun point, so the truth is your gold bullion is only as safe as you can hide it.
Yellow Gold Tanzanite Rings
Posted by whaleadmin in Fashion and Textiles on June 20th, 2009
It’s a shame, but yellow gold isn’t used for tanzanite rings as often as it should be. I have no idea why people seem to enjoy white gold or platinum more, but they should really reconsider their opinions. Tanzanite jewelry is rare and beautiful no matter how its presented, but yellow gold adds so much value I think you’d have to be mad to want anything else. The yellow gold sets the perfect scene for the dark blue hues that typically are found with tanzanite gems. Blue and gold make a great contrast with each other, too. Overall the look of tanzanite rings that use yellow gold for the band material simply can’t be beat. The next time you hear someone scoff at the concept of using gold with tanzanite, make sure to stick up for this design.
What Colors Go With a Gold Gents Wrist Watch?
Posted by whaleadmin in Fashion and Textiles on May 30th, 2009
My brother has three different suits he likes to wear on nice occasions, and they are three different colors. He also has a gold gents wrist watch that he like to wear whenever he dresses nice. However, he cannot decide which color goes best with gold. This made me think about what colors goes best with gold, especially when that gold is on your arm, right next to whatever color you happen to be wearing. Overall, I think a white suit would look best with any gold, especially a gold watch, but black would probably work fine also. If you own a gold gents wrist watch, and you don’t already have a nice suit, I would stick with buying a suit that has a white or black jacket or shirt, since these colors seem to look best with gold.
