Medical billing and coding schools have seen a rise in enrollments since there are more and more physicians going into practice and the need for additional income is a reality for most.

When a doctor comes into a town or is looking to establish a new practice in the same town it is necessary that they find a third party service or an in house individual that is well versed and certified as a medical biller.  While there has been some consolidation of medical practices in most areas, the medical billers are always needed.

The economy has turned from bad to worse therefore many people are looking to make an extra buck and from that have investigated medical billing as a reasonable option for income.  Most of this translates into transcription work but there are some who are taking their weekends to help local doctor’s office with their billing.
