The way that psychics relay information to people that go to them seeking answers are called readings.  These psychic readings are nothing more than the visions, auditory messages, or other senses that the psychic happens to pick up on.  Because there are a variety of psychic readings available, it just so happens that some are done by phone.  Other readings can be done through email or in person.  So, for the sake of telephone psychics, the readings that they give to clients come in the way of conversation and can also be recorded for repeated listening.

When the psychic reading comes by way of email, it would just be called an email psychic reading.  There is really nothing magical about the way the information is relayed to the client.  When you sit with a psychic face-to-face, they will often ask you questions more or less the same as they would over the phone, but in person they may be able to get a better sense of your higher intelligence – which is where their guidance and answers come from.
