Putting on a toupee is not that easy. You need to carefully tape and hide everything so that no one will be able to notice that you’re wearing a toupee. You need to make sure that it will appear as natural as possible. To make this possible, your toupee needs to be cared for with more diligence compared to your original hair. I you ignore it and carelessly maintain it, your toupee can easily be damaged and its proposed effect can easily be ruin. So much attention is needed to maintain the glossiness and natural appearance of your toupee.

Wearing toupee can be somewhat of a hassle – not an easy task to do, because you need to secure everything. For you to be able to do that you need to follow these tips:

1. Using a towel or cloth, you may wipe your scalp to clear it with any adhesive residue. You wash your whole head by cleansing your scalp meticulously with exfoliating scalp scrub. Rinse it and repeat it. Let it dry fully and add a layer waterproof of sealant.

2. At the base portion, you may apply a toupee tape underneath your toupee. Put it as close as possible to the outer edge. By peeling the back of the strip, the tape can be attached to your scalp.

3. Squirt your scalp using an alcohol-based formula like the Adjust-Bond. This will prevent the toupee from sticking immediately, giving you a few minutes to adjust.

4. Place it slowly on your head and adjust it into proper place. Apply pressure to each area that you’re going to place adhesive tape. Evenly spray your toupee with water and give a spray of conditioner.

5. After using it, you remove your toupee from back to front. By using your fingers, you can carefully remove it; you start around the back edge and softly peel up the base with a fingernail. Don’t pull your toupee so hard, you may use adhesive remover as needed.
