You probably know already, but CPAP machines are designed to deliver a continuous flow of pressurized air through a CPAP mask to sleep apnea sufferers. The air relieves the reoccurring obstructions that interrupt the sleep apnea sufferer’s rest. The machines have been around for decades now and have become quite dependable, efficient, and compact.
Now many models come with integrated humidifiers. That’s a great improvement because the pressurized air by definition is very dry and can cause nasal irritation over time. But with an integrated CPAP humidifier the air can be treated to make it more comfortable. It can be moistened to soothe the sinuses and it can even be heated too provide more comfort on those cold nights.
So if you’re in the market for a CPAP machine, look for one that comes equipped with a CPAP humidifier on board. You’ll be glad you did.
