If you’re not familiar with the two terms mold and fungi, it’s easy to mistake them for two different things. But really there is no difference between mold and fungi.
Funguses are a parasitic plant lacking chlorophyll and leaves and true stems and roots and reproducing by spores.
Molds are funguses that produce a superficial growth on various kinds of damp or decaying organic matter.
While they may sound innocent enough, they can cause serious allergy problems and some molds (funguses) can make people severely sick. So no matter what term you decide to use, you should always use caution when exposed to any form of the stuff.
Always wear protective gear such as rubber gloves, masks and eyewear and make sure the product you intend to use to remove the fungi is made specifically for mold and fungi. Otherwise, you may very well find yourself with a worthless product. Okay, so now that you know there’s really no difference between the two, feel free to share this article with your friends!
